Multiple ways of doing a ketogenic diet? Umm, lower carbs, increase fat. That is the ONLY way.

    • clean keto, dirty keto, omad keto, IF keto, normal keto, dairy free keto, low oxolate keto, ketovore…

    • @BaebeasDogTrainingPortland

@@rexcatston8412 dirty keto is a misnomer, it’s not really keto. Dairy is only an issue if someone is sensitive to it. Bottom line, reduce or eliminate carbs and increase fat and no matter what label you put on it, it will work. Keto, by definition, is low oxalate. Less than 20 grams of carbs, even spinach, will have much less oxalates than a high carb diet which is not keto. And one meal/day vs two meals/day is irrelevant.

    • There are myriads of types of fats then that means there are many ways to do keto

    • @BaebeasDogTrainingPortland

@@logical_lb3059 animal fat. Doesn’t matter what type of animal. Just animal fat.

    Only looking at LDL~
    and only EIGHTEEN PEOPLE?
    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  5. I did healthy Keto for six months, which worked out better than i expected. My LDL stayed in the normal range. If you overindulge in eating fats, your LDL would be high. You have to use a little common sense while doing it.

Hi Dr. Gundry. Your glasses are crazy. I think they contain lectins.

  7. Ketones like ß hydroxybutyric acid metabolism also increase GABa in the brain

  8. I had gallstones because I avoided fats.
I almost got rid of my gallbladder.
Now I’m high fat and my gallbladder is ok.

It’s clear to me I need fat in my life, so it makes no sense it isn’t healthy since I consume healthy fats.

  9. It’s “couldn’t care less.” If you say you could care less, you are actually saying the opposite of what you are trying to say.

  10. Keto is good, that’s all you need to know

    • I think the best advice is, do what works for you. And leave everyone to do what’s right for them

    • Keto is very good. I’ve been on ketogenic lifestyle and one-meal-a-day intermittent fasting since 6/2022, and it has worked miracles for me. I am still on a ketogenic lifestyle and one-meal-a-day intermittent fasting.

    • It’s not for everyone

    • @logical_lb3059  Ketogenic diet has been around since 1921 in treating epileptic children. Since then, ketogenic diet is used in weight loss, treatment of many degenerative diseases such as T2D, pre-diabetes hypertension, CKD, obesity, dementia/Alzheimer’s, Mitochondrial dysfunction and cancer, all stemming from insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, and sugar/fructose consumption. Ketogenic diet has helped millions of people lose weight and achieve their optimal health.
Right now, I am helping my co-worker lose weight on his ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting. So far, he has lost over 40 pounds, and he feels great. My suggestion is that if you are planning to start a ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting, do it under the medical supervision of a keto friendly physician.

    • @@Dolphin_457 epilepsy etc wasn’t treated with keto, it was treated with fasting. how they discovered it was when they locked people with seizers in a room and only gave them water, they stopped getting seizers.

you’re confusing keto and IF. On IF it really doesn’t matter what you eat as long as it’s not processed, you’ll lose weight. however keto isn’t suitable for billions of people who have been farming for 10k years and evolved to eat starch not high fat

  11. Dr Gundry, I have an important question. Do heirloom tomatoes have less lectins? Is that ever researched?

  12. @natalyafisher778

Thank you so much Dr. G. Great explanation.

  13. Doctors push statins bc it’s good business

If you’re really worried about getting a heart attack, get a CAC score. It’s an MRI that will see in detail how much arterial plaque you have. Zero is best, and $100, you might want to pray. Does not necessitate arterial plaque.

  15. Please buy his products; he needs a new pair of glasses!
