I really pray and wish that our sacred spaces are freed from the clutches of Government control. When all other religions are not taxed, and not controlled by the government why are our spectalular temples controlled. The temples are literally weeping and lamenting, waiting for devotees to take over.

Being a Keralite I witnessed the difference while visiting Temples governed by both Devotees(where these were run with a sense of more enthusiasm and want) and by Dewaswom Boards(where all the drama and politics play in their daily chores happen in temple’s running). I am saying this is not directly the problem of anyone but when temple is run by government there are certain drawbacks which is must be changed….. It’s already too late to handover temples to its devotees 🙏
As long as we have caste system, these so-called Devotees can not run the temple successfully. In the long run, all temples will be in the hand of one group. This happened in the past.
