  3. Hi Dr. Steven Gundry! I loved the longevity paradox and the plant paradox and I love your podcast. In the longevity paradox you mention that high levels of serotonin are good for longevity. SSRI’s/anti-depressants have a bad reputation, which is why I don’t take them, but I have taken a herb called St. Johns Wort which is supposed to also raise serotonin and it DEFINITELY improves my mood. Do you think I should take it? Thank you!

Dr. Gundry, with all due respect for this your work, in both this podcast episode and the last one with Joel Fuhrman, yoi didn’t really bring up with them the issue of lectins in the foods they advocate to eat, it’s a problem because those foods are high in lectins, would be good if you addressed this and us hearing your guests thoughts about this. Here you talked mostly on grains, which almost all of them contain lectins, and never once did you address this issue with your guest, especially when we talk about unprocessed plants. Feels like a really missed point.

Dr Gundry just something which you might feel flattered, being an anesthetist I was mentioning to a cardiothoracic surgeon who had come as a patient for surgery about your plant paradox and he has cited some cardioplegic fluid you innovated for his thesis and said you were a great surgeon.Though I don’t follow all your plant paradox directives I have made some changes as per your recommendations.
